Sr Principal Software Engineer Overview:
Architecture & Technology (A&T) is a team of specialists and senior engineers who collaborate across Mastercard programs and teams.
We focus on reviewing, teaching, establishing policies, and helping teams solve complex problems.
Our expertise includes security, design for operability and customer experience, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
We maintain open contribution documents for policies like Engineering Principles, Software Development Lifecycle, External Cloud Policy, and more.
We also curate libraries of code to accelerate engineering efforts and reduce redundancy.
The Role:
As a Sr Principal Software Engineer in A&T, you will engage with Mastercard engineering teams, contribute to patterns, frameworks, proof-of-concepts, policies, standards, and shared libraries.
You may lead initiatives or serve as an advisor, mentoring teams and reviewing code.
Your work spans various parts of the company and layers of the technology stack, from leading technical due diligence for acquisitions to modernizing critical payment applications or working on distributed computing platforms.
